PET/ Polyethylene Terephthalate

The material has good mechanical strength. It is hard and rigid however the notch impact strength of material is poor. The surface of material shows high strength against abrasion. The dimensional stability is good and easy to get high tolerances on tooling. The good tooling shall give perfect surfaces. It has a good resistance against many of acids. The radiation and UV strength is good. The coefficient of friction and water absorption is low however the material contains hydraulises risk above 50 degree Celsius in water.

Between +115 degree Celsius and -20 degree Celsius
